General Overview
The batch entry tab gives users new ways to enter checks, paychecks, or deposits. As the name implies, it requires that the user first create a batch before transactions can be entered. These transactions must be “posted” before they are recognized by the accounting side to be displayed in the register and on reports. Users can use this feature to enter transactions from a bank or credit card statement. Data may be entered manually or imported via a file created by your online bank or credit card company. The import file must be formatted as a CSV (comma separated values) or TAB (tab delimited).
